10th Class Topper Receives Award
J.S.L.D Tejaswini, 10th Class topper ( 574 Marks ) in Rajahmundry for the year 2008 has been awarded Rs.10,000 by Mr.V.Hanumantha Rao, Chairman of Citizen Co-Op. Society Ltd. This event has taken place at their Rajahmundry branch on 4th January, 2008 at their premises located at AG Complex, JN Road, Rajahmundry. On this eve the members, customers and well wishers have attended and praised the services rendered by the society. This is the only society having more than 50,000 members and paying 15% interest on deposits to senior citizens. The Citizen Co-Op Society has been established in 1997 and grown as multi state society and providing services in four states. It has 148 crores deposits, 146 crores loans, 20 branches and running very profitably. This society is leading and set national record by paying 22 percent dividend to its members last year.

Directory Services and Helpline on phone
There is an acute demand for a updated directory services and helpline on phone for Rajahmundry. The existing printed directories are not comprehensive as they are only publishing paid listings and printing limited copies which are not available for general public as and when needed. There are many websites started past one decade which are neither comprehensive nor well structured. Those who exist are cluttered with ads and I suspect they cant breakeven with those ad revenue. There is one very ambitious non commercial project started in February, 2007 in the name of Project Vyas to fulfill the needs of Rajahmundry people and people interested in Rajahmundry information. Many HR departments of reputed companies are viewing Rajahmundry for their outsourcing needs, recruiting employees either for part time or fulltime employment are the major searchers in search engines. There is some good content being added and updated regularly at Wikipedia about Rajahmundry but provides partial information.
